The
Southern Anti-Racism Network (SARN) project
originates from the Challenging
White Supremacy (CWS) Workshop On-Line. The CWS Workshop
online was a year long virtual learning experience to "find,
recruit, motivate and educate" anti-racist activists throughout
the US. When the on-line workshop ended in December 1998, approximately
20 Southern participants in 7 states formed SARN. SARN
activists committed to expanding the network to include 40
activists in 10 states by June 1999.
SARN's Annual Meeting is
scheduled for October 15-17, 2001. Click on the Registration
button for more details!
The weekend of June 25-27, 1999 activists in the network met at Highlander
Research andEducation Center to learn and plan ways to broaden and deepen
the network of anti-racist activists working together into the
new millennium.
